Parica (Coboclo)
Paricá is an energetic and powerful traditional snuff, long recognised for its deep grounding effect and ability to take one into altered states of awareness. A potent medicine to go deep, this is not a mild blend—it’s strong, direct, and made for experienced users. It is not recommended for first-time users.
The experience of Paricá is both energetic and rooted. When used in larger doses, it has the capacity to bring on profound shifts. Traditionally, it is recommended that this snuff be used for spiritual alignment, cleansing, and grounding. It is made by blending finely powdered plant ashes with strong Mapacho, which is amplified by the inclusion of ashes from the bark of the Paricá tree, giving the Rappé a particular depth and potency that sets it apart.
Paricá is also referred to in some areas as Xinshá or Xixá. This Paricá should not be confused with the Yopo snuff, which is sometimes called by the same name but comes from a different plant entirely.
This Rappé is made by one of the better-known Caboclo Rappé crafters of the region. Growing up deep in the forest, this man started working as a youngster tapping rubber; he is a great connoisseur of the forest, its flora, and its medicines. This blend honours their clarity, strength, and connection to the natural world.
Its intensity supports strong energetic clearing and helps sharpen focus during spiritual practices. The effect is immersive, making it well-suited for experienced users and those seeking to deepen their connection to plant medicine rituals.
